John's Salsa Recipe

Because everyone deserves a little bit of heaven

John' Salsa Recipe

7 to 15 oz (can) of organic tomato sauce

3 big handfuls grape tomatoes
or 10 small tomatoes
or 2 large

For hotness, adjust chilis
2-3 small jalapenos
1 serrano
3 fresno chilis
10 mini sweet chilis or
mild banana peppers

Your selection of chilis (aka peppers) determines a majority of the flavor of the salsa.

1/8 -1/4 small sweet onion
and/or 6" of leeks (optional)

SPICES (all optional, but I like it with all of these)
2-4 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 tsp cumin
fresh ginger root, 2tsp
horseradish, 1 tsp
fresh parsley, 2 sprigs, about a third or fourth the amount of cilantro you use
fresh cilantro, 8 sprigs or a loose handful
4 fresh mint leaves
1/4 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp paprika
juice from a half a lime
1 T dried chives
1/2 tsp dash oregano

Blend spices, hot peppers, & tomato sauce.
Then add the rest and chop in food processor
to desired fineness (or chunkiness).
